EPS is used as insulation in walls, roofs, and foundations, and serves as an integral component of structural insulated panels, insulated concrete forms, and exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS). Due to its flexibility and versatility, it can be cut into sheets, blocks, slabs, or any desired design to meet specific building construction requirements, as well as customized designs. As a result of its manufacturing process, aging does not effect the long-term stability of EPS. EPS possesses ideal physical and mechanical properties for many construction needs.

It has been reliably used for decades and is known (strangely) for its strength and durability.

Rollers are available in an assortment of realistic patterns. Edge patterns can be colored to match corresponding stamp patterns or made to contrast. You can also use the wider concrete stamp curb rollers to place a border on a patio slab or decorate a control joint. Seamless rollers are available in 9, 18 and 24 inch wide sizes. Wider rollers apply a seamless stone-like surface. They are especially useful for department of transportation (DOT) projects such as medians, sidewalks and shoulders that require a pattern that is relatively narrow (8” to 10”) and continue for a long distance. Decorative concrete rollers are a time-efficient method for applying concrete border patterns for projects that are long or curvy. Fortunately, there’s a simple, cost-effective solution to this problem: concrete pattern rollers. But when you need to apply that border to a miles-long road project, this simple task can quickly become a real challenge. Adding a decorative border to a small-scale concrete project is a relatively simple task for a trained concrete contractor.

For trowel applied mixes reduce the water content to about 5.5 pts. Use form boards and leveling screed to establish the final height. In hot weather work in shaded areas or in the cool parts of the day, and use cold water to slow down the setting time.įor thicker applications use additional thin layers of QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer or use a trowel applied layer after the initial squeegee application. In cool weather use warm water approximately 120F, (50C) to speed setting time. Adverse Temperature ConditionsĪt temperatures below 50☏ (10☌). Do not cover unless immediate rain protection is necessary. Protect from rain for at least 6 hours, longer in cool or damp weather. With cool temperatures allow longer curing time prior to use. Wait 6 hours before allowing foot traffic and 24 hours for automobile traffic. QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer provides an economical alternative to removing and replacing existing old, spalled concrete. QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer provides a beautiful, durable, wear resistant surface designed to withstand heavy foot and vehicle traffic. QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer is a special blend of Portland cement, sand, polymer modifiers and other additives designed to provide a shrinkage compensated repair material for making thin repairs to sound concrete which is in need of surface renewal.
